WWE: Too much talent for WWE to handle!!

World Wrestling Entertainment, which has over 150 superstars signed in Raw, Smackdown and NXT, but only a handful have got a chance to get to the limelight.  Over the decade superstars like John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, CM Punk and The Shield being the newest to enter the limelight.

World Wrestling Entertainment aka WWE, which the probably the biggest wrestling franchises in the world. WWE superstars, pay-per views, events, movies and apps they have their hands in everything. It is a multi-billion dollar entertainment business now. Over the years it has produced legends and icons like Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, The Rock, John Cena and the most recent the leader of the yes movement Daniel Bryan. However, there are superstars who are if not more still equally talented and deserve a shot at the spot light. Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, The Miz, Mark Henry to name a few superstars who have been never taken seriously by the company.

WWE over the years has been sticking to the old formula of dividing the superstars on good or bad base depending on how the WWE universe reacts to them. John Cena being the leader of Cenation, Daniel Bryan leader of the yes movement, but what about Dolph Ziggler? Zack Ryder? Such superstars who are also appreciated by the audience equally but are rarely given centre stage to show off their skills. When they do, it is short lived. Dolph Ziggler became the World Heavyweight Champion only for 3 months out of which he was out of action for 1 month due to injury. Zack Ryder’s maximum glory to fame was when he was made the number one contender for WWE championship against Sheamus.  Kofi Kingston who has given amazing OMG! Moments for past three Royal Rumble pay per view has only became the Intercontinental Champion and does never have a legitimate title shot.

It’s not just that WWE has a difficult time accommodating young talent, there are veterans in the locker room who have been with the company for years now but have been never given a more central role, but just being used a fillers for the show. Mark Henry who has been with WWE for over 15 years now, became the World Heavyweight Champion in 2013 only for 6 months. Other Superstars who were signed by the WWE from other companies but were never given any proper role were Kevin Nash, Booker T, Christian, Sin Cara and many others who have taken by other positions like commentary( JBL), support staff( Finlay), the GM of Smackdown for sometime ( Booker T) but now not sure what or where he is.  Superstars have expressed their wish of being more in the spotlight on platforms like Twitter or other WWE interactions but were not given any serious thought by the brains of WWE.

No doubt, WWE has been a successful enterprise for years and will continue to do so in the future as well. However, they need to experiment and need to bring new faces in the front. They are at a position where they can afford to take some risks and who knows it might pay of well. The Wyatt Family, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Cersaro, The Shield are examples of the experiment referred to. After all, it is only after to do something new that a new era of WWE will be born and new superstars will get to show off their talent…
